Meet Under the Bridge.
Every morning at 9:00 AM, our community gathers beneath the 24th Street Bridge, at the entrance to the Great River Trail in Moline, for a time of connection, reflection, and movement.
This daily rhythm is meant to strengthen both spirit and body. Together, we:
• Pray for our nation and our communities, grounding ourselves in intention and gratitude
• Exchange greetings and fellowship, building trust, warmth, and unity within Nefesh
• Engage in physical training, choosing either walking or running along the Great River Trail — a beautiful path that links our cities and encourages wellness for all ages and abilities
This gathering is open to everyone, including children, as long as a parent or guardian is present. Whether you come for prayer, community, fitness, or all three, you are welcome.
Please note that times and locations may occasionally shift due to weather, accessibility, or community needs. To stay updated, message Alexandria directly via text.
Come as you are. Bring a friend. Build community, strengthen your body, and start each day with purpose.
Fellowship and Meetings
Our weekly gatherings in Moline bring people together every Saturday and Sunday at 6 PM for Havdalah and Chavurah—potlucks, games, music, and crafts because deep friendship and shared culture are the foundation of effective community resistance and collective action.
Resistance Rally
We welcome groups of every size and mission to set up tables, share food, exchange experiences, and introduce people to your goals, projects, and visions for the future. Whether you’re focused on mutual aid, cultural work, political education, environmental justice, labor organizing, or community care, this is a space for you.
Justice For Victims of Epstine
We are raising awareness about the victims of human trafficking and the broader concerns surrounding the Epstein files, which have drawn public scrutiny toward several high‑profile figures in the tech and business world. Our focus is on justice for survivors, transparency, and accountability wherever abuse has been enabled or ignored.
Camp Night with Nefesh at Cedar Valley County Park!
Join us for a beautiful overnight camp‑out with Nefesh! We’ll be gathering just outside the city of West Branch at Cedar Valley Park — a perfect place to unwind, connect, and enjoy the outdoors together.
Community Meeting for homeless outreach
We will be gathering at Atlas Collective to discuss meaningful, concrete ways we can support our unhoused neighbors and strengthen the work already being done in our community. This includes exploring how we can contribute to existing fundraising efforts, uplift ongoing activism, and potentially launch new initiatives where support is needed most.
Ramadan/ Morning cleanup of riverside
As part of our observance, we’ll spend time cleaning the riverbank along the Centennial Bridge, helping restore the beauty of the space we all share. Afterward, we’ll walk through downtown Rock Island to greet our unhoused neighbors with kindness, conversation, and dignity. We’ll be offering supplies, canned goods, and simple gestures of friendship — because during Ramadan, acts of generosity carry deep meaning.
white buffalo and stag fest
This event is open to everyone — artists, storytellers, families, neighbors, and anyone who wants to be part of a welcoming, creative community. Bring what you can, or simply bring your presence. The heart of this gathering is not the supplies but the people who show up.
Let’s come together to celebrate beauty, culture, and the stories that guide us. Let’s learn from the White Bison and the White Stag, and let their wisdom inspire us to build a community rooted in strength, imagination, and shared purpose.
If you’d like, I can help you turn this into a flyer, a social‑media announcement, or a spoken introduction for the event.
havdalah movie night
This is at Alexandrias house however due to security it is not a plublic event so you must contact Alexandria or Samone to come. There will be a potluck, Havdalah ritual and we will be watching a movie as well . As always its kid friendly !
havdallah potluck party
We will also take time to remember the people of Palestine and honor our own loved ones who have passed. Together, we’ll offer comfort, reflection, and prayer for anyone who needs it.
If you can bring a dish, that’s great — and if not, just bring your appetite. All ages are welcome.
For anyone interested, we’ll also have Magic: The Gathering available to play.
Feed the Poor, Not the War!
On December 27th, Rock Island will become the site of a protest with a clear demand: Feed the Poor, Not the War. This gathering is not only about resisting militarism—it is about holding our local leaders accountable for neglecting the most vulnerable in our community.
NO I.C.E NO KKK NO Fascist USA
NO I.C.E. – NO KKK – NO Fascist USA
This protest is about four urgent demands:
Sanctuary for All – We call for the Quad Cities to become a sanctuary city for everyone, ensuring protection and dignity regardless of immigration status.
Accountability for Mariannette Miller-Meeks – We demand her resignation for complicity in aiding fascism, supporting policies that contribute to genocide against the Palestinian people, and enabling ethnic cleansing of immigrants and communities of color in the United States.
Impeachment and Conviction of Donald Trump – Trump’s call for “remigration,” a genocidal Nazi term advocating ethnic cleansing of non-white people in the United States, cannot be ignored. He must be held accountable.
Human Rights for All – Immigrants should always be welcome, no matter their reason for coming here. Being American is not defined by blood—it is defined by belief in liberty, equality, and democracy.
We, as Nefesh, fully believe in this vision. Everyone is deserving of inalienable human rights that must never be taken away. Yet figures like Trump and Miller-Meeks promote a worldview where the wealthy rule, while ordinary people are pitted against one another in endless battles for basic rights.
Our movement stands against fascism, racism, and authoritarianism. We stand for sanctuary, justice, and the fundamental truth that human rights belong to all people.
